His swamp blues, funky rhythms and soul-deep vocals, powered by slashing guitar playing and loping harmonica, puts him at the forefront of contemporary blues players. Kenny "Blue" Ray - When it comes to hard-hitting blues guitar, Kenny's the real deal. He has more albums than Madonna! The Madison Blues Band - George Schoenstein & crew play Texas / Chicago style shuffling Blues as good as it gets. George is the also "da man" responsible for the current revival of live Blues on the Peninsula South City Blues Band - John Boutell, John Lull, Norm DeCarlo & Ray Figueroa play some great swingin' blues. BTW , Norm's not only a superb drummer but a great artist and a pretty damn good chef. Steve Freund - The real deal folks. Steve's without a doubt one of the finest blues artist on the planet and destined to become a legend. Catch every time he plays! Stan Erhart Trio - It was Stan's log-running jam at the Old Princeton Landing that brought Bluestate together, Catch him along with funky bassist Michael Warren. The Volker Strifler Band - We wanna' be these guys when we grow up! Chops, soul, great writing and arranging - they've got it all. Oh and Volker just plays his a__ off too! |
